INTRAENTREPRENEURS AT SACYR: THE BEST INHOUSE IDEAS AS WELL

The final iFriday in 2017 paid tribute to in-house innovators, who have managed to strengthen the optimisation of Sacyr's resources over the year.

Javier Lizaga, as the first speaker and one of the winners of the latest edition of the Sacyr Innovation Awards, listed a series of requirements corresponding to the innovative spirit: training, experience in management work or technical work and an entrepreneurial spirit. Lizaga, who proposed making an app that records and reproduces equipment maintenance videos from QR codes, managed to optimise the reviewing of both technical and workplace safety procedures.

Meanwhile, Miguel Ángel Torres, site manager for Sacyr Construcción Chile and also a Sacyr Innovation Award winner, presented a project to carry out monitoring of machinery production on site through an app using GPS-based geolocation. He started his career in Chile in 2014 with Ruta 5, and is now involved in the Ruta 43 project, which connects the cities of Ovalle and Coquimbo.

Likewise, Miguel Ángel Sanz, of RARX, has also committed to innovation, as when we find a problem, we have to look for a solution. Sanz explained the benefits of the semi-wet system in the construction of asphalt surfaces.

Rafael Gómez de Parada introduced the morning's most social moment. He is the Financial Director at Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales and, following his volunteering experience at El Hogar de Teresa de los Andes (Bolivia), he managed to push for an agreement between the Fundación Sacyr and Ayuda en Acción to improve the facilities at the centre.

Sacyr has created an innovation model where initiatives can have a real impact.
