At Sacyr, we ended 2018 in the best possible way: by giving out the Natural Innovators Awards which recognise the talent, effort and commitment of our employees. Their team work, innovative nature, excellence and digital vocation contribute to making our company better and more sustainable, and are deserving of the recognition and applause from the entire company.
Together we are stronger
Sacyr has wanted to recognise team work, highlighting the collective efforts of Carlos Montero and Gonzalo Herranz at Valoriza Medio Ambiente. The award recognises their innovative vision of mobility, their technical knowledge, their experience and contribution to development of innovative control systems to optimise and improve mobility systems, and their participation in developing systems for regulated parking services and parking meter payment applications with innovative features.
Sacyr launched a new corporate image in 2018 thanks to the efforts of the Corporate Marketing team, Natalia Jiménez and Alicia Durán, among other areas, who also stood out due to their excellent team work and ability to adapt to the changing times of communication.
Resilience, digital vocation, excellence and social commitment
Effort, passion, commitment, innovation and responsibility are terms which identify the company. Recognising that spirit of innovation which makes us better and enables us to move forwards, Sacyr awarded a prize to Jose Ouro from Cafestore. The award honours his contribution to updating the range on offer in markets of communities with Deliquo and social and health markets with Cafestore, to developing new proposals for events and to improving customer experience.
The digital transformation award went to Alberto Gómez Estébanez from Industrial and Gerardo Lara from HR Holding. In the case of Gómez Estébanez, his critical spirit, data miner profile and approach to continual improvement were more than enough reasons to give him the award.
Marcelo Onsurbe and Jorge Barange from Construction, and Germán Basáez, Cristina Sandoval and Fernando Carrasco from Concessions received the award for technical excellence in the performance of their work. The company highlighted the efforts made by Onsurbe and Barange in developing information capture technology using drones and road mapping systems to optimise road milling and resurfacing work. Through these awards, the company has also acknowledged the contribution made by our three colleagues from Concessions to a proprietary software solution owned by Sacyr for tolls, developed entirely internally in Chile, through our technological company, INFRATEC.
In the category of Social Commitment, the awards went to Simón Maestra from Valoriza Conservación for the inclusion of circular economy measures in contracts; Sergio Álvarez from Valoriza Agua for his contribution to developing an innovative project to find out, predict and manage episodes of water-related toxicity; and Julio Díaz Corona from Sacyr Servicios for providing innovative energy-efficiency solutions. These three colleagues have focused on creating and developing projects that contribute to making our planet better and more sustainable. Congratulations to the 15 winners!
